A Childhood Dream Becoming Fulfilled
Like many kids of my generation, I've always had an infatuation for Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. My mom and aunt took me to go see the opening premiere at Radio City Music Hall- irreplaceable memories.
A few years later, around age 8 years old, my parents and I ventured on vacation to upstate NY, specifically to Lake George. Back in the day Lake George was quite the tourist hot spot. And gently nestled within the town was a quaint amusement park called Gaslight Village. It was there that I ventured into one building called "Calvacade of Cars", and to my delight I stood within inches of the original Chitty (well sort of). I think I must have used up my entire instamatic film on just photographing every square inch of that car.
I always dreamed of one day building a replica of my own. Many, many years past and about 3 years ago I decided to begin gathering reference materials so I could construct a 3D version of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang for my own.
